Results of a European Program
on health effects from chronic exposure
to radioactive alpha emitters

Joint efforts of a large group of scientists, including epidemiologists, dosimetrists and statisticians made it possible to model health effects linked to chronic exposure to radioactive alpha emitters, taking in account major co-factors. Obtained results concern both workers and the general population. Major emphasis will be on radon (and its decay products), uranium, plutonium. Public concerned: Scientists working in the field of biological effects linked to ionising radiation, decision makers and occupational physicians of nuclear industry … Attendance: Admission is free but number of places is limited.
